New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora isn’t ready to praise Redskins rookie quarterback Robert griffin III since he still has a lot to prove in the NFL.
“Who is this RG3 guy you guys keep talking about?’’ Umenyiora said. “You talking about Bob Griffin? You guys are giving him a cool nickname already and everything. When he does anything in the NFL we’re gonna call him RG3. Right now he’s Bob Griffin.”
The funny thing about Umenyiora is that he’s joking, but he’s also serious about Griffin still having to earn his stripes on the NFL level. I completely agree with Osi, but this is the case with any top five quarterback, hype will always follow them.
