Martellus Bennett takes a jab at Tony Romo

New York Giants tight end Martellus Bennett told Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger that he really likes playing with Eli Manning because he doesn’t show favoritism when throwing the football, like most quarterbacks do.

“Just his approach. I mean, he’s just looking for the open guy. It doesn’t matter who it is or what number you are,” said Bennett.  ”If you’re open, he’s going to hit you. You have to be ready. That’s what makes it so fun playing in this offense because anytime you beat your guy, you know you could get the ball.”

“Yeah, every quarterback has one or two guys they go to on most teams,” Bennett said.  ”But here, it’s not really like that.”

I would think that Bennett is referring to Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, since it’s been obvious that his favorite target has been tight end Jason Witten.
