New York Giants rookie cornerback Jayron Hosley’s foot was in a boot after Saturday night’s preseason win over the Jets.
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said he’s not sure how Hosley suffered the injury, but he does know he suffered a turf toe injury.
“Coughlin also said he’s in the dark, but he does know that Hosley is dealing with ‘a turf toe kind of issue,’” wrote Jorge Castillo of the Newark Star-Ledger.
“Hopefully nothing will turn up in terms of all the tests, and then it’s going to be something that is going to be very sore, there’s no doubt,” Coughlin said in a conference call with reporters today. “How he is able to deal with it will indicate how fast he can get back on the practice field.”
